About This Game

Knights of the Round retells the Arthurian legend as a weapon-based beat 'em up. Arthur, Lancelot and Perceval ride out to unite the kingdoms and unseat the usurper Garibald, fighting through forests, castles and a famous bridge duel against the Black Knight.

What sets it apart from Capcom's other brawlers is the level-up system: defeating enemies earns experience that visibly strengthens your knight, restoring health and upgrading his armour and attacks as the quest progresses. Weapon combat adds blocking and grappling, and horseback sections let you strike from mounted height — grabbing enemies and riding them down is a legitimate tactic.

  • Experience-based level-ups that strengthen your knight mid-quest
  • Weapon combat with blocks, grapples and mounted attacks
  • Three playable knights with different reach and speed
  • Memorable boss duels including the Black Knight bridge fight

Tips & Strategy

Block, don't trade

Holding back guards most enemy weapon swings, and a successful block leaves the attacker open. Against armoured knights and bosses, blocking the first exchange and countering is far safer than button-mashing.

Grapple is your crowd control

Walking into an enemy triggers a grab; throwing them into their friends knocks down a whole group. In co-op, one player grapples while the others punish the downed enemies.

Fight from horseback when you can

Mounted sections let you sweep enemies from above with longer reach. Grab enemies while riding and drag them — it is both the fastest clear and the safest option in those stages.

Level up before bosses

Since experience restores health and upgrades your attack, fight optional stragglers before boss doors rather than rushing in. A higher-level Arthur takes the Black Knight duel far more comfortably.
