Songs of the Past Expansion Announced for The Witcher 3, Coming 2027

CD PROJEKT RED announced Songs of the Past, a new expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, during gamescom Opening Night Live on 25 August 2026. It is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, and will run exclusively on the Remastered version of the game.

The expansion introduces Letten, described as an idyllic land rich in rural tradition and folklore whose people enjoy bountiful harvests and lavish festivals — with a dark secret lurking beneath the surface. Geralt will face never-before-seen foes and wield a new weapon, the chain.

Songs of the Past is being co-developed with Fool's Theory, a studio led by Witcher 3 veterans. CD PROJEKT RED has described it as Geralt's final adventure before the story passes to the grown-up Ciri in The Witcher 4.
