The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered Is Out Now as a Free Upgrade

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered launched on 29 September 2026, available as a free upgrade for existing owners on GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A native version also arrived on Nintendo Switch 2 and, through a new partnership with Blizzard Entertainment, on Battle.net.

The remaster brings upgraded visuals, enhanced combat, improved traversal and movement, new witcher sign effects, revamped mount handling, enhanced monster behaviours, a reworked skill tree, transmogrification, an expanded photo mode and new finishers. It was co-developed with Yigsoft, a Hungarian studio founded by Witcher modders that previously contributed to the game's next-gen update and to REDkit, CD PROJEKT RED's official modding tool.

On the day of the announcement, CD PROJEKT RED also made both original expansions — Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine — free for all owners of the base game.
