Elden Ring Base Game Surpasses 30 Million Copies Sold

Elden Ring has continued to sell steadily years after release. Figures reported in 2026 place the base game above 30 million copies sold worldwide, with the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion having passed 10 million and the co-op spin-off Nightreign reaching 5 million.

The numbers underline how unusual the game's tail has been. Shadow of the Erdtree, released in June 2024, remains one of the best-selling expansions of its generation, while Nightreign — a session-based roguelike rather than a traditional follow-up — found an audience of its own.

The base game remains available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and continues to receive maintenance patches.
