Future Cyberpunk 2077 Updates Will Require Windows 11

CD PROJEKT RED has confirmed that Windows 11 will become the minimum supported operating system for Cyberpunk 2077 with a forthcoming update. Future versions of the game will be officially tested on Windows 11 only, and the studio has said players on Windows 10 should not expect official support or fixes for Windows 10-specific issues.

The change is not tied to a specific release date — it takes effect whenever the next update arrives. The studio has not revised the policy following Microsoft's extension of consumer Extended Security Updates, leaving the exact timing of the cut-off uncertain.

For players already on Windows 11 nothing changes. CD PROJEKT RED has confirmed further updates are planned, though support now focuses on quality-of-life, technical and compatibility work rather than new story content.
