Game Science Confirms There Will Be No Black Myth: Wukong DLC

Game Science has not announced a downloadable expansion for Black Myth: Wukong, and the studio's own communications indicate none is in development. In August 2025, studio co-founder Feng Ji stated publicly that the Wukong DLC plan had been paused, with resources moving to a new project.

That project is Black Myth: Zhong Kui, revealed at Gamescom 2025 as a standalone title set in the same mythological universe, built around a new protagonist rather than a continuation of the Destined One's story. A 15-minute gameplay trailer was released in August 2026, but no release window has been announced.

Game Science has signalled an intent to return to Wukong's story in a larger future project. For now the game should be treated as complete rather than as something waiting for an expansion — any specific DLC title you may see on fan sites has not been confirmed through Game Science's official channels.
